Words to Live By #2

“Every SAINT has a PAST and Every SINNER has a FUTURE”. -Oscar Wilde-

Bahaha! Yeah, it’s true!  I think I’m both ;)  I really have a big laugh to myself when friends who have only known me a few years or less tell me I’m such a sweet girl and can’t imagine me being a horrid teen, be mean, naughty or doing anything on the crazy side.

Are you a sinner or a saint?

My friends who’ve known me forever will have a few stories to tell no doubt!  Scary, embarrasing – sometimes I cringe when I remember some of the stories.  Meh! they’re great stories anyway – right?!

At this point in my life I’m putting in the work and taking responsibility in the areas where I am making the change for what I want now.  And I’m thankful for my past experiences – no regrets.

We all have stories and I think the whole point is to love yourself for who you are, wherever you’re at and accept that the past or the future doesn’t have to define you.

Labels don’t mean anything unless you put a meaning to it and most of all you can have as many chances as you want because you are worthy of love no matter what.

Right now I’m just embracing the me that ‘is’… living life according to my values and beliefs (which may change or evolve), wearing whatever I feel like depending on my mood, working on the feeling of being ‘present’ in every moment, thankful for everyday, trying new things, learning, making a few mistakes, achieving and forever growing.

Think of your own life before you start judging someone else and picking them apart. We have all traits anyway – consider others a reflection of you.

So are you a sinner or saint?  It doesn’t really matter.  Remember that you have a beautiful soul, worthy no matter what you feel or what people say.

Be good, be naughty, be responsible but most importantly be ‘you’.

Have a great weekend beautiful peeps :)

Love & hugs,

Faiz
